They are classified into two major categories: single-crystal diamond optical windows and polycrystalline CVD diamond optical windows, fabricated using high-purity, low-nitrogen CVD deposition processes, and finished via double-sided optical-grade polishing and precision surface figure correction.
These products exhibit a comprehensive set of optical and mechanical properties, including an ultra-broad spectral transmission range, ultra-high laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT), extremely high thermal conductivity, ultra-low thermal distortion, high-temperature and corrosion resistance, and exceptional hardness. As extreme-environment optical components, they are irreplaceable by conventional optical windows such as fused silica, sapphire, and zinc selenide.
They resolve critical industry pain points of traditional optical windows, including thermal distortion under high-power laser irradiation, transmittance degradation, susceptibility to cracking, surface figure failure at high temperatures, and high outgassing in vacuum environments.
They are ideal for high-end applications such as high-power solid-state / fiber lasers, infrared optical detection, microwave/RF vacuum chambers, high-temperature observation windows, high-energy radiation optical systems, and semiconductor plasma equipment.
Custom coatings are supported, including anti-reflection (AR) coatings and laser-resistant coatings. Shapes can be processed into round, square, and flange-mounted integrated windows.
